Information About Shipping, Returns, Conflict Diamonds and Privacy

Purchase Process

For International Selection diamonds we require a minimum $150 deposit, with the balance payable upon approval. The exact deposit will be discussed with your sales consultant at the time of purchase.

For ring manufacture, we require a minimum deposit of the cost of the setting to begin work.

We take great pride in making payment as easy and painless as possible. Therefore, we accept the following forms of payment:

  • Cheque
  • Direct Deposit
  • Six Months Interest Free Financing

For New Zealand customers, we will debit you credit card in New Zealand Dollars.

Payments can be made on our online payment page or via telephone.

Be aware that interest free financing involves extra paperwork that usually takes an extra few days to process and for customers to sign.

Credit card purchases must be verified prior to shipping. Our verification process involves:

  • Obtaining the CCV (3 digits on the back of your card).
  • Faxing or emailing a scanned copy of both sides of your credit card and your drivers' licence.
  • Telephoning you to confirm your purchase.
  • Not shipping to PO Boxes or addresses outside Australia and New Zealand.

International Selection (Policy & Procedure)

The diamonds listed in The International Selection are located overseas with cutters and wholesalers. Jogia Diamonds therefore acts as a broker by importing and analysing the diamond in our in-house laboratory.

In order to purchase a diamond from our international selection, a minimum deposit of $150 is payable. A discount for upfront payment may apply.

In normal circumstances, it takes between 4 and 7 days for us to receive the diamond from overseas.

Once the diamond has arrived, we shall perform the analysis within 48 hours and email you the following for you to approve:

  • Microscopic Photo
  • Ideal-Scope Image
  • AGS ASET Image (Fancy Cut Stones Only)
  • Two videos in different lighting conditions
  • Full proportion and extra cut grading information

Because of extra shipping and import charges, we don't allow comparison shopping for diamonds in The International Selection.

Delivery

All prices displayed on our website include shipping within Australia and New Zealand.

Within Australia, delivery is done via overnight Toll Priority or Failproof National Couriers. Please note that Failproof National Couriers only pickup from Perth on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

For New Zealand shipments, delivery is done via Fedex.

Time Sensitive Deliveries

Whilst all shipments within Australia are sent via overnight courier, in our experience, 1 in every 50 shipments are delayed beyond our control, especially in winter. Therefore, it is recommended that time sensitive deliveries be dispatched via "Same Day" courier, so as to lessen the risk of any delays. This service is an extra $275 inc GST.

Saturday Delivery

If you need Saturday delivery (ie you're not home during the week or you need it on Saturday), it is available for deliveries within most capital cities. The service costs $110 inc GST.

Certificate Verification & Laser Inscription

The diamonds listed in the International Selection and Signature Series all come with a certificate from either GIA or AGS. Should you wish to have this certificate confirmed by Gem Studies Laboratory or Bauer Gemmological Laboratories, a charge of $150 inc GST is payable, which includes laser inscription if the diamond isn't already laser inscribed.

Certificate verification and laser inscription is free of charge for all Crossfire diamonds.

"Fair Go" Return Policy

Over the ten years we have been operating, we have only had a few returns. That said, should you need to return a diamond for whatever reason, we want to make it as easy as possible for you, whilst discouraging fraud and allowing us to keep our costs down to maintain our low prices.

Our Obligations as Required by the Law

Should your purchase be defective or misrepresented in anyway, we will either refund or exchange your purchase at your discretion.

Diamonds From Our International Selection Bought Online

An International Selection diamond bought online (unsighted) can be returned for exchange or refund within ten days of us emailing you the analysis. Because of the costs involved in importing these diamonds, a small shipping fee is charged as follows:

  • $75 for exchanges.
  • $150 for refunds.

International Selection Purchases Made in Person

International Selection purchases that have been viewed in person before final purchase, either in Perth or elsewhere can not be exchanged or returned, unless defective or misrepresented.

Signature Series Diamonds

Unsighted Signature Series diamonds can be returned within 7 days of being received. There are no shipping fees and you will be refunded you full purchase price. Signature Series diamonds that have been physically viewed either in Perth or elsewhere can not be exchanged or returned, unless defective or misrepresented.

Crossfire Diamonds

A Crossfire diamond can be returned for exchange or refund for any reason whatsoever within thirty days of you receiving it. There are no shipping fees charged and you will be refunded your full purchase price.

Returning Custom Made Settings and Set Diamonds

Because all our rings are handcrafted to order, ring settings can not be returned or cancelled for a refund, however they can be upgraded or altered. Should you wish to return a set diamond, you will need to return the setting and we will un-set the diamond and return the setting to you.

Return Procedure

Due to issues with insurance, returning a diamond worth thousands of dollars may be a difficult, time consuming and costly experience. However, we've taken the pain out of returning a diamond by sending our own insured courier to come and pick it up for you. This service is included in your purchase price.

Once we receive the diamond or piece of jewellery, we will analyse it in our lab and employ third parties if needed to analyse the item. Once we are satisfied you've returned what we sent out, we'll process the exchange or refund. Be aware that the refund will be in the same form of payment as you originally paid - so if you paid by credit card, we'll refund your credit card etc.

Co-operation is important when returning goods to us. Should you not co-operate fully with us when returning goods (eg you don't allow our courier to pickup), we reserve the right to decline your return or refund request.

Upgrade Policy

A Crossfire diamond bought from us can be upgraded at any time to a larger diamond in our Crossfire Range or Signature Series. In order to simplify the upgrade, we ask that you keep your original invoice, certificate and valuation (if applicable).

Buy-Back Policy

A Crossfire diamond bought from us can be returned for 80% of the purchase price within one year of purchase. Please note this only applies to Crossfire branded diamonds, not settings or International Selection diamonds.

Guarantee

Jogia Diamonds International guarantees that all diamonds purchased from us have not undergone any enhancement whatsoever.

All our engagement rings are handmade and come with a one year warranty. For customers in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide, warranty claims can be dealt with locally through one of our recommended jewellers. For customers in Perth and regional areas, warranty claims will be dealt with directly through us.

We recommend that diamonds be insured at all times. If the diamond is given to a local jeweller to be made into a piece of jewellery, you should ensure that the jeweller is insured for any loss or damage caused to the diamond. It is advisable to get all your jewellery inspected and valued by a professional valuer at least every two years.

Conflict Diamonds

All diamonds and diamond jewellery from Jogia Diamonds International are guaranteed to be conflict free. It is our policy to buy diamonds from reputable, well established diamond cutters and wholesalers who in turn guarantee us that the diamond they sell us are conflict free.

Each invoice that our buyers receive from us one of these statements will appear on our company's letterhead:

The diamond herein invoiced has been purchased from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflict and in compliance with United Nations Resolutions. The seller hereby guarantees that this diamond is conflict free, based on personal knowledge and/or written guarantee provided by the supplier of this diamond.

Privacy

Jogia Diamonds International only collects information that you have given to us through our website, via phone, in person or through email.

This information is typically: your name, address, email address, phone number and the details of any of our products that you have bought or requested.

Typically, we use this information to identify and assist you with the purchase of our products, to gain an understanding of your specific needs, for valuation purposes, and, to maintain an ongoing relationship with you. We may also use this information to help us improve our products and services.

We take reasonable steps (such as using secure forms on our website) to ensure that your personal information is transmitted and stored securely. Whilst we strive to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us. Once we receive your details, we make our best effort to ensure its security.

We will never give or sell information to third parties, except for valuation purposes.
